What is an "altered card"?

If you are visiting this blog, you already probably know what an “altered card” it’s. If, by chance, you don’t, here’s a brief explanation: basically, you paint with acrylics, oils or pen to expand or add to the original card art. This creates a unique version of that card, adding value to it as a foil version would, but all of these alters are hand painted and it is impossible to find two exactly equal.

There are various types of alters: borderless, frameless, partial alters, parodies, etc. Those are tournament legal, if they follow the rules listed in this link: http://www.wizards.com/magic/magazine/article.aspx?x=judge%2Farticle%2F20090414a

If you like Magic: The Gathering and you love it’s art and wonderful illustrations, and if you have a knack for collector and exclusive items, you might like the altered cards I present here. All of these were hand painted by myself, and some are for sale. If you’d like to purchase some of these cards or commission me to alter one of your choice, you can contact me here: jobani89@gmail.com
